BALL HERDING (Treibball)

This class is for any dog, any breed, any age. It is especially fun for dogs with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Dogs learn to herd large exercise balls into a goal pen, handlers learn to direct the dog to go out, wait for direction, go left or right and herd a ball and drive it in. It is for all types of dogs, especially herding dogs and ball crazy dogs. Much like sheep herding, treibball is for the dog that needs a job but doesn't have a herd of sheep handy. The sport originated in Germany.

Dogs must be well socialized and have good basic skills for come, sit, down & solid stay to particpate.

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN

A CGC certificate opens doors for dogs to travel with their owners more freely. Having a CGC says you care about well mannered dogs in the community. Responsible dog owners like are interested in having a well behaved dog, because you know that dogs will be welcome in more public places, restaurant patios will open up to canines and more landlords will rent to CGC dog owners. You can be proud of your dog's CGC.

The Canine Good Citizen certification test can be taken by any dog. The CGC was developed by the AKC to help dogs become valued members of the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs.
